Pioneers to India (left to right):
Carl Johnson worked in Ooty area of Tamil Nadu.
James A. Johnson worked in Madras with the school.
J.C. Bailey worked all over India, but primarily in Andhra Pradesh.
Roy Merritt worked with the school in Madras and later in South Tamil Nadu.
Charles Scott worked in Tamil Nadu some but primarily in Andhra Pradesh.     
James A. and Eva Johnson about to retire in 1985 after staying here for more than 20 years.
  The Chennai (formerly Madras) metropolitan area had a population of more than 7,000,000 in 2007.
